Oh! Sorry, I was zoning out there for a moment. Too many traumatic events in one week has lead me brain dead. I should be making an artists comments shouldn't I? Ah alright then, three, two, one... a ramble ramble ramble.

Okay! So, for this piece I wanted to voice my opinion on Jonathan's psychological behavior, because heaven knows that characterization in comic books can be about as solid as batch of fudge pudding. I will have to do it so in a matter of minutes unfortunately, being that me mum's about ready to drop kick my door down to drag me to the gym. So yes, carrying on...

Also, I know some folks that write or perceive Jonathan as a classic DID stereotype, however I do not believe that is the correct diagnosis for him. While it is true he shows some irregular behavior while in his Scarecrow costume it doesn't strike me as an extra personality of his. I believe that Crane is very in control, and very much himself when he's in his costume, it's just that the costume provides him an outlet to express all the aggression and pent up emotions he withholds in his civilian attire. Masquerading around in a costume allows him to do so because it provides a sense of "anonymity". Much like how we as users are more likely to say or do something on internet that we normally would never do so in real life.

So I see Jonathan and his costume as more of an outlet and support beacon. A way that he can express himself without shame. It is also with his costume that he is able to overcome much of his fears and extreme phobias. I tried to illustrate that projection here in this piece but I'm afraid I failed miserably. As always my work can only suggest disappointment and nausea.

And... despite my better judgement telling me not to, I've decided to enter 's Halloween contest. I apologize for the late notice, but I wasn't really anticipating my father being hospitalized either. So what is a gal to do with such a happening?

Anyway, I'm sorry I couldn't get more detailed into the post I made. I'd love to make a longer one later perhaps, but I'm afraid school and the trouble of everyday routine will make it almost impossible. So cheers everyone, I hope you all have a spooky filled Halloween season. And tell the monster that watches you breathe at night to brush its teeth for goodness sakes!
